Ok this is sort of a silly question.. but just wondering

My safety school's application asks you to list what other colleges you're applying to, and I was sort of worried becuase comparing the rankings/prestige of the other schools i'm applying to and this school makes it completely obvious that i'm applying to their school as a safety school.

so my question is.. would it hurt my chances if they realized that i was applying to their school as a safety, and would that count against me on my application..

thanks.

yeah...duh

nobody likes to be appllied to as a safety

what you should do is list a couple comparable schools, and maybe one school that is a reach.

well i have one school that is comparable to them

and there are 4 left over slots

should i include 3 matches and 1 reach?

just try to dumb it down as much as possible

like for BU

i put

BC (same area)
McGill (similiar program)
Brown (my ED school, and i figured they know i would apply because i did courses there over the summer and sent my stuff to them.)

you don't have to fill every spot, and i would almost suggest that you don't

a school will assume that it has much better chance of you going there if it is one of 4 schools, rather than 1 of 12

ok, awesome. thanks for your help.
