<p>what does everyone do for fun (hopefully!)? and how many hours/week do you do it..</p>

<p>When I turn 15, I'm applying to volunteer at the local hospital, and when I"m 16 I'm getting an internship in the business field ( my uncle is EXTREMELY well known and has amazing connections ).</p>

-An Acadamy within school focused on public policy ( monthly lectures, weekly meetings, w/ one week immersion at a UC this summer, and internship senior year)</p>

<p>Swim (during the fall), 9-14 hours a week.
Student Gov't, 1 hour a week (only meet once a week during lunch).
Lit. Magazine, 1 hour a week (same as above).
Writing and editing aforementioned writing, 1-4 hours a week.
Piano, ~3 hours a week (I should practice more, but I don't really have the time or motivation).</p>

<p>It may not be much compared to some others, and not nearly as impressive, but I do everything I do for my personal enjoyment, which I think it what really matters. I hate those kids who say 'sign up for this club! It looks GREAT on a college application!'</p>

<p>blah. it might look like a laundry list, but I really do like the stuff I'm in. Actually, this is very cut down from frosh year when I was literally in 5 more clubs (eek..). I basically do piano, yearbook, and volunteer as my highest commitments</p>

<p>Only 168 hours a week? You need to put in a little more time to show dedication to the destruction of liberals :-)</p>

<li>tax firm (35 hours/week for 2.5 years, 50 weeks a year b/c of 2 weeks vacation)</li>
<li>lender's firm (15 hours/week, 52 weeks a year b/c I've only been working here 9 months, and I need to work here 3 more in order to earn vacations)</li>
<li>FBLA (5-7.5 hours/week, 40 weeks a year for the past 3 years as Chapter VP, Chapter P, Section VP, Section P, and State VP; most of the work is done during school time, right before, or right after, though)</li>

<p>I have 300 hours in community service because of IB, but for the most part, I can only handle 2 steady jobs and FBLA.</p>

<p>I want to join Newspaper, run for president and get started on volunteering, I think those things would complete my list. Hopefully, I'll rise to managing positions in these clubs/activities. In junior year, I should qualify for Mu Alpha Theta, Science HS, Latin HS, and National HS. I'm considering joining things like yearbook and our school TV station, and any advice would be appreciated.</p>
