“Aid my grandmother in paying bills, doing housework, etc. (she has macular degeneration)”

and your donating blood really count as community service? <.<

iunno…man… :0

I’m not really going to include my grandma in the community service section of a app, but it makes a good essay topic.

My friend is taking a GRE course through Kaplan and they recommended putting down “blood donor” on an app to grad school.

ell oh ell

I don’t see a problem with it. You’re donating your time and a literal part of you to save the lives of others-- how’s that different than helping to build houses in New Orleans?

Community Action Team - we do a ton of diverse activities I can’t bother listing, I have some leadership roles (one official position) and am defo going to be leader next year and wish I were leader this year because the leaders now are sorta letting it die, but they’re better recruiters than I.

There’s some stuff I don’t know if I should include. Like I did an internship with The Breakthrough Collaborative last summer, but I’m not doing it this year. I kinda want to bring it up though because it was a huge commitment.
I’m probably forgetting something, but if I’m forgetting it, it’s probably not that impo, right?

Hey, I play tuba too! :)

anglophilia-- a Beatles club? Awesome!

It’s a great instrument; I may consider trying out for some music scholarships at whichever college I go to, since it’s not very popular =P

Me too! I don’t think I’ll participate in marching band once I get to college, but concert band/wind ensemble I’m game for. :)

As long as you don’t go to UNC Charlotte, band should be fun =P Charlotte’s band director literally destroyed our band the other day (right before our concert festival) Nothing but criticism, and not helpful critique at that.
