I know many people probably have a list greater than 3 colleges, but try and pick your number 1 choice for reach, match and safety school. Feel free to also list your own stats and/or why you picked the schools you did!
Reach: Columbia University
Match: University of Washington
Safety: Colorado School of Mines
Reach: Swarthmore (I love the vibe of the students here…normally I’d love a big school, but Swarthmore is special)
Match: UCSD (I love UCSD and they’re very strong in engineering)
Safety: Cal Poly Pomona (I seriously hope this is a safety, but its gorgeous and strong for my major)
I applied to college last-year, but hope this is helpful for current applicants!
Good luck with admissions!!
Reach: Brown (Attending, after being deferred ED:) Has been my dream school since middle school, particularly for its Open Curriculum and strong pre-med advising program.
Match: University of Florida (Accepted:) Received automatic full-ride through the Benacquisto Scholarship Program (National Merit,) and has an extremely strong Honors program w/small class sizes.
Safety: University of Central Florida (Accepted:) Automatic full-ride through the Benacquisto Scholarship Program (NM,) and auto-acceptance for being a NM Semi-Finalist. Strong Honors program w/small class sizes for pre-med requirements and accepted into the Burnett Medical Scholars program (BS/MD, although with a high MCAT and GPA requirement.)
Stats:
GPA - 3.9 UW, 4.44 W
ACT - 35 Composite
SAT Subject Tests - Math II (800) and Biology M (770)
