Listing of 5 Awards

DS20 is a National AP scholar, National merit semi-finalist, RPI medal winner, recognized by a local club as being one of the top 25 students in the school, scholar athlete/ honor roll and various local awards for ECs. He will be pursuing EECS and has pretty high GPA and SAT scores.
I realize these academic awards may not be over the top, but is this is the best order to list the awards:?
National AP Scholar
National Merit SF
RPI medal (STEM award)
Local club Award
School awards

[List his EC awards in the activity section]

Actually forgot to mention National Honor Society. Maybe it should
National AP Scholar
National Merit
RPI
National Honor Society
Local Club Award

wait, but the national merit semi-finalists haven’t been confirmed yet…?

@parrie some students earned scores high enough that they know they got it (ex. 224-228). If you are on the bubble, you might check out this thread http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/national-merit-scholarships/2113859-class-of-2020-national-merit-discussion.html#latest or Google “Compass Prep Blog National Merit”

@parrie and lkg4answers that is correct, barring any mistakes, fortunately, it will be impossible for him not to be named a semi-finalist.

I would list NMF first.
Then National AP scholar, RPI Medal, Local Awards, NHS, School Awards.

Does it go in order of prestige? I thought it went in order of personal importance. So if the student was personally most proud of an RPI Medal or local award, that could go in front of NMF.

D ordered her awards national/regional/local/school but you can do it however. Hopefully it’s all getting read!

Thank you all for your input. I guess it may not matter how you list the awards as long as someone reads them.

AP scholar is least important/interesting. They will already know he did well on multiple APs based on the scores section.

I am always wary of NHS. That’s the one they want you to join by paying?

@nomorecoll96 No, that is NSHSS, that is almost definitely a scam. NHS is national honor society, it is an organization with chapters offered at most schools

ok. got it. thanks. our school has CSF not NHS.
