So, when I was in high school I took part in a theater production that we did at the local CC which I am currently attending and it was arranged so that everyone participating in the production received 1 credit at the CC for "Musical Theater Production." I didn't even think to include this on the application until I remembered seeing it on my CC transcript but I'm still not sure if I should add it to the academic history section or not.

It seems kind of weird adding it because that one credit is from 2005 and I didn't start at the college regularly until Spring of 2008. Do I need to include it on the application or not? It just looks a bit funny with my "dates attended" section spanning from 2005-2010. If I do add it, should I mention it in the extra comments section in step 7?

Yes, add EVERYTHING. Do NOT leave anything out. Just don’t. Follow the instructions. You can mention in the additional comments section that the class was taken while you were still in high school. In addition, there’s a section in the application that asks you to list what you did during gaps in your education (if there were any). But, if you went straight from high school to college, and have been there straight through today, this shouldn’t count as a gap in your education. Also, they will see the dates, and understand that you were enrolled in high school and CC at the same time, and they will connect the dots. Don’t forget, these are humans reading and evaluating your application.

Long story short, put the class on your application. Leaving anything off your application (as it says in the instructions for that section of the application) could get your admission rescinded, or even your degree taken away years after graduating . But, they’ll see that class when they look at your transcript, and know something is afoot.

Just follow instructions, people, and you’ll be fine.
