Living Green vs. Global Cultures

Hey, so this is pretty simple. Which First Year Emory program should I apply for and why?

I heard that Living green is in the Evans and Few dorms and that Global Cultures will be at the brand new freshman dorm next year. Also, does the global cultures thing have more diversity within the hall or something? I don't know much about these programs and looking at the site didn't really help. (lol)

Thanks!

Global Cultures because it’s newer =D

I seriously doubt that Global cultures will increase diversity of halls. The halls at Emory are already extremely diverse. Perhaps Global Cultures will put emphasis on the multiculturalism.

Yeah, I’d like to get a current student’s opinion on the LLC concept too. Is it really a big part of the residential experience? Plus, I’m leaning towards the citizenship one myself, so what’s Turman like?

I’m currently in a living green dorm. It’s not much different from the other dorms except it’s newer. One downside of it is when they have concerts at McDonough field, you won’t be able to take naps/sleep early/study in your dorm or in one of the lounges. They do have living green events once in a while…but only a few people go to them.

which living community is going to be in the newest freshman dorms?

i think it’s called long/meanstreet
