Living in Argentina - Deciding on future career path

Hey Forum, first post here! I hope its in the right sub.

My name is Andrew- I’m 19 years old and currently living in Argentina with my father.

The story on how I got here is a bit of a fun one. About two years ago, I was a fed-up 17 year old in my junior year at a Minnesotan high school. My parents had divorced and I was under a bit of stress. I was studying for my ACT (got a 28) and ending the year with a 3.75 GPA. I was a decent student but I hated my situation.

One day my dad came home with shocking news. At his work (he’s a finance major), a new position in South America opened up and he had the opportunity to move down there and complete a two year term. He told me that, when I graduated, I could accompany him. I checked my credits and realized that I could graduate one semester early. I spent that last semester doing PSEO in a community college (finished with a 4.0, but who doesn’t in cc?). I promptly got on a plane and flew down.

Since January of 2015 I have become fluent in Spanish and I enrolled myself en La Universidad Catolica de Buenos Aires (UCA). I am studying economics and passing with grades ranging from 6/10-8/10. For the class, I am a little under average (not bad considering that I studied spanish 2 years in high school).

My dream is to finish my undergrad, gain some experience and go for my MBA in the US. I would love to eventually become fluent in portuguese and be able to work throughout South America as a businessman. I am also enrolled for the Fall 2016 semester in the University of Minnesota, however. I am not sure wether to continue with my degree here in Argentina or go back and finish it there (graduating from Carlson).

I was told the credits I earn at La UCA do indeed transfer. Additionaly, I spent 2015 studying Spanish, History and Marketing in a study abroad program. Basically, in the UMN I already have 3 semesters of credits.

I have been told that a degree from the US opens many more doors than an Argentinean one, but I really enjoy the life I have now.

So I guess my question is

To study in UMN-Carlson or La UCA- which provides the most opportunities to do Business in Latam? What would you all choose?

Thanks for the input!
