Living in Westchester but want to go to a CUNY?

Can someone living in New Rochelle attend a 4 year CUNY? Im a bit confused. Im trying to help someone with their college process. Her Guidiance Counselor said to look at the CUNY’s but some people say that you have to be a resident of one of the five Boroughs.

You do not. I live in Nassau County and one of my sons attended Queensboro.

That is correct. The CUNY’s have a deal and as long as you are a NYS resident you can attend the CUNY’s.
