Is it a good idea to participate in the living learning community housing program? Do you get sick of the same people in your classes and at your dorm?
My D did not participate in the LLC offered at her dorm. Just so you are aware, it is only a one (or in some cases 2 in the past) credit hour class which you will share with others. My D was more involved with people in her major than she was with others in her dorm.
There are many advantages to LLC participation. One is earlier move in. You get to start experiencing UK before others arrive. A second is getting a better chance of living in a specific dorm if your LLC is located there. This is not as important now that there are so many awesome new dorms. Also, LLCs help you connect with others when you are new. It is nice to have familiar faces around to ask questions and get information.
