LMU EA class of 2025

last year it was 5:00 pst

Thanks for LMU EA info and website homerdog! It may have been updated since your post, and fwiw the website now says LMU EA is tomorrow, 12/15.

which website? the kickstarter one? They’ve had LMU as 12/15 for over a week now

Ok cool beans. I was referring to this from the post above. I don’t think it has LMU as today?

I can’t seem to post the link. Google kickstarter and EA dates

Says LMU today. Has had that 12/15 date there for over a week but I don’t know how they confirmed that. As I said in an earlier post, they update every day and have been correct for all other schools.

sorry everyone. 15th is tomorrow. Fingers crossed that right!

Here is the college kickstart link . . . in case anyone needs one more page to refresh every 5 minutes. :upside_down_face: (Take out space after kickstart as CC doesn’t allow the direct link.) https://www.collegekickstart. com/blog/item/class-of-2025-early-decision-and-early-action-notification-dates

Hi there! I’ve seen your posts around as we are awaiting LMU for film production and thank you for your openness of your earlier journey. When do you think they will release EA decisions for Film production and how has your experience at LMU been? (assuming you are still doing the film school?)

Anyone see changes to the portal? I haven’t looked in mine for a while but I thought previously there was a statement that my application was complete. I now just see two tabs for admissions and financial aid.

@HavenR Did you get in? Two tabs is good I think.

Our D’s portal has looked the same forever. Just two tabs.

Ok I haven’t seen my son’s portal so I don’t know what they look like. When my older son applied two years ago (not Santa Clara) acceptances usually came with two emails, the acceptance and the award letter. Thus my being hopeful when two tabs were mentioned.

No decision yet.

Looks like tomorrow it is.

Has anyone heard anything else about decisions coming out today? Is it for sure today? Don’t want to get my hopes up too early! Would it be around 5 PM PST?

I’ve also seen the 18th on ZeeMee. Supposedly kids have emailed AOs and been told Friday I still don’t know where kick starter got the 15th.

So is everyone thinking it’s Friday?

Must be. Didn’t hear today.

Does LMU defer a lot of EA applicants?

Hello @LWCA1022 ! I am glad you reached out to me! When I applied we heard by the week of the 20th. I remember that it was the middle of the week that I got my EA application decision, but I didn’t check it until after finals and it was spoiled for me because that Friday I received a “Congratulations” Newsletter from the film school. Lol. I do not have any information regarding EA decisions this year due to COVID’s impacts, but I do believe it will be soon. Film production students receive their decisions when everyone else does. It is not (typically) separated by schools, but rather by decions. Accepted students received their “updated status” emails earlier, then waitlisted got theirs, then deferred and rejected. But all receive it within the same day or two.

LMU’s film school has been so great! Totally worth the 4 years of HS and all the stress of applying. The only draw backs right now, of course, is COVID and not being on campus, but LMU has been a MASTER at transitioning to online means. As a freshmen, you get three councilors to help with scheduling (an assigned councilor, school specific councilors, and GE councilors) and your assigned councilor works one on one with you to sign up for your first semester classes, which greatly relieved my stress tbh.

We are still doing LLC (Living learning communities - you live near people of similar interest - Apply to the new Film LLC if and when you get in!), clubs, and online events. They basically switched PROD 100, PROD 200, and screenwriting around so that we wouldn’t be taking prod 100 online, but I don’t think you will have the same issue because they expect to be back open by next year (fall). Although the campus will not be open till LA is cleared for reopening, so we can’t do campus tours still, as someone who lived on campus for a summer program I say that it is worth the wait. The teachers and administration are all so kind. I haven’t met a single bad egg. There is Zoom fatigue, but the teachers are all really understanding and try to make it as fun and engaging as possible. I love my classes right now, even the non film ones such as philosophy.

Gosh and everyone is so polite, professional, and well organized. I haven’t been left on read on my emails and I feel like they truly care. I honestly could go on and on about LMU, but I highly recommend you reach out to your assigned Student ambassador if and when you get in! If you wish to speak with an ambassador sooner, you can always ask the office to talk to a current Film Student Ambassador and they will be happy to tell you more about their experience.

Hope this helps! Good luck! Maybe your EA acceptance will be your Christmas gift
