Hello :)
I know some are still wait fora reply (Good Luck!) but I think it would be nice to introduce people who have been accepted to the Class of 2015 :) maybe answer some questions too.

I'm from Pittsburgh, PA and I will be graduating in June. I have not decided if I'm going to LMU but it's my number 1 school :) I was accepted to the school of film and television for film production. I chose to apply to LMU, because I feel I will get the best education for my passion for film :)

Has anyone toured the campus? I haven't yet, but I hope to soon

I toured the campus in September, and I happened to bump into an old friend from my high school by chance who is a freshman there and in the School of Film and Television. I ditched the tour (which wasn’t bad), and my friend showed me the film school’s studios and one classroom that’s a full-scale movie theater. I didn’t get to see the dorms, but the campus was really pretty, and it’s not in a bad location. I was accepted into the College of Communication and Fine Arts, and I’m very seriously considering going there, but I need to wait to hear back about scholarships until I have a better idea about if it would be possible.

I called up the Office of Admissions asking about scholarships. The lady said they would notify students after April 1st.

I got accepted quite soon after I sent in my application even though I sent it late. I’m from England and Hong Kong and I’m living in England now. Never been to America, but I really want to go to LA! I got accepted for film and TV production also I also applied for the Honours program (second round). Hope I get in for that! :)

Good luck to everyone else still waiting for a reply!

My son was accepted into the Entrepreneur program and we toured in August. It’s a beautiful school with a nice, clean campus. Seems really safe too. Also accepted into USD and we are waiting on some others.

I’m from the SF Bay Area (NorCal) and I got into the School of Film and Television for Animation~

Last spring I went and toured the campus twice - once with a tour group, once with a past student. It was definitely my favorite school of all the ones I had visited. The campus was beautiful, the faculty members were friendly, and the students all looked happy :)

I had originally applied EA but was deferred. Got my acceptance about three weeks ago?
Waiting on the financial stuff now, though. I’m so worried Dx

ok thank you all so much! I am SO worried! I applied early action but was deferred too. I have 3.5 weighted gpa, leadership positions, community service, and a legacy. do you think I have a good shot of getting in? I haven’t heard yet and am really nervous!

what’s your major? because the kids who applied for film at my school have heard! but i’m a communications major and so is my friend and neither of us have heard back

My daughter applied RD in late December and was accepted last Saturday to the School of Communication and Fine Arts as a dance major. She was elated and so were we. LMU is her first choice and she has been waiting on pins and needles. We toured LMU in January when my daughter had her audition and we both loved it. I know how nerve-wracking it can be waiting for these responses because everyone just wants to be settled and know where they will be next year. My daughter’s stats were middle of the road (3.5 GPA, 25 ACT) but is totally dedicated to her art. She goes to a performing arts high school and dances outside of school as well (about 25-30 hours a week in all). She commutes a long way to school and dance and I think they recognized her talent and dedication. We are also Catholic, although I don’t know how much weight that holds. Don’t give up hope if you are still waiting to hear. You just never know what will tip the scale in your favor. They can’t only take 4.0 kids with amazing ACT scores because the campus would be really boring. There has to be more diversity in the student population to make the campus well-rounded. Good luck to everyone. You all deserve to get into the schools you want. Just remember, you will end up exactly where you are meant to be!!!

My son applied for film. One of his biggest reaches and currently his first choice by far. I want him to let it go, if he needs to, and think more about the places he HAS gotten in…and are cheaper!

Hey everyone. So no one got a scholarship yet? This was peculiar. In any case, 11,000 applicants for 1250 spots puts the acceptance rate at about 10% which is mind blowing! Congrats everyone!
