Loans for summer course?

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>I am currently in a little predicament. I am enrolled full time in a 4 year university, however I am looking to take a summer course at a community college this summer. Unfortunately, I cannot afford full tuition up front. My question is as follows:</p>

<p>Does anyone know if it is possible to get a stafford loan for just this course? The problem I see is that I am not enrolled at that community college full time, and it is just one course. If not, are there any other options to getting a loan for this course?</p>

probably not
My daughter was enrolled part time fall & winter quarter, full time spring and no aid was available at all.
If she had intended to attend full time all year- she probably would have been eligible for work study- I don't beleive this particular CC participates in the Stafford loan program.
Does the U you are attending have the class you want?
You might ask at the CC finaid office, but in our experience money for summer programs is minimal.</p>
