<p>Is it true that if you're in a school with many good students with great SATs and other great features, (and maybe you're one of them) it's harder for you to get into a good college, like IVYs? :(</p>
<p>Not necessarily. They look at each applicant individually, so if your test scores, ECs, etc. are strong you will have a good possibility of admission nevertheless. I go to a very difficult private school and we have about 10-15 people out of 60 go to Ivy League schools every year. While there are also people who do not get accepted, this is a good portion of people who apply to Ivy League schools.</p>
