Loft Beds?

I know that most of the freshmen dorms have jr.loft beds (approx. 3 feet off the floor) but do most students use the loft company to raise them higher so that your desk fits underneath and you have more space?

Many people do that.

Most of my friends raised their beds, so they could fit desks, fridges, etc under it. Gave their room a lot more space. I wish I had done that, but it costs like an extra couple of hundred bucks for 1 year.

I think it costs 200 dollars to loft it, and it’s against school rules to loft the bed your own way… although I know some who just lofted anyways

Is it not possible (or, allowed, I guess) to just loft it yourself? Hm. I don’t go to Emory but I’ve not heard of any other colleges having rules against that. Tough luck I guess, lol.

Cost for lofting is $189 by the company Emory puts on their vendor list. You get a $20 discount if you order before August 15th and it will be lofted when you get to campus or wait until orientation and the company will be there to take orders.
