Does anyone out there know if when you loft your bed in Monroe - is it tall enough to put a desk under (like the height of a bunk bed) or just tall enough to fit an extra dresser? I remember these huge constructed beds that were almost to the ceiling but that allowed for a sofa underneath. Somehow I am thinking that this is not the case...

No I think the highest position was about three feet off the floor. As far as “extra dressers” go he will probably need one. The dresser provided was not really dresser but in fact a night stand. We were left scrambling for plastic drawers as D had no way to put her clothes away and she is not a clothes horse by any stretch.

From the Arrive Monroe page

"Chest of drawers inside (may vary)

* 30 in tall
- 18.75 in wide
- 20 in deep
- 4 drawers
- 15 in wide
- 16 in deep
- 5 in high"

The "dresser in this room is to the left of the desk and it didn’t really look that big in person.
It may be a good idea to get some storage ahead of time because by the time we discovered she needed more BB&B and Target were sold out. (you can always return what you don’t need but the reverse might not be so easy.

I’m not trying to be a downer but that was the one thing I really wished I’d known ahead of time.

Did you need to purchase something to loft the beds in Monroe?

No the spring just fits into slots on the bed.

What these beds do is not what think of as lofting. They just adjust up or down about a foot or maybe two within their own frame. Remember to adjust to your desired height before you make your bed.

Thanks. One less item to buy.

does anyone know if that’s the case for the beds in paterson too?

So, are risers not needed in Monroe if you want to loft the bed? Or, can you use risers in addition to moving the slats??
