follow logic and choose a profession with great prospects ,one that promises a brilliant future or follow my heart knowing that i have to face many obstacles to achieve.if you ever faced that dilemma ,i would like to know what was your decision and how it turned out for you.thanks

You need to give more specifics. Much depends on what you want to pursue by following your heart. Does that mean acting where it is hard to find a job? Does it mean teaching where there are high educational demands? What do you think has great prospects and do you have the ability? I know many people who thought they should major in technical fields but were not good at math or science (that would be me–great in the humanities, okay at math with a bit of work and I don’t want to talk about the sciences).

Listen to your heart but talk back to it with logic.

You’ll get different answers about this since some people don’t believe in intuition and some do. I personally do and would do what “feels right” but would definitely use some logic in the process to make the situation better.

There is much to be said for pursuing your passion. However, if your chosen field is one that is not particularly remunerative then you are best advised to attend the college/university that will be the least expensive for you. A student loan burden that would be merely difficult to pay off with the salary from a very well paid career, would be life-threateningly crippling on the income from low-paying job.

hello!Actually i’m currently a civil engineer student and i’m thinking of changing to biology.Math and physics are not my favorite subjects , i’d much rather study biology.

When I was in college I majored in marketing because it was safe and I thought I could not make a living in my first choice vocation (art) …marketing went well and I was successful…However…when I quit work to stay home with my child I found time to revisit my interest and passion in art…that was 17 years ago…I have been a working artist ever since! I am making a living as an artist, working out of my home studio, raising my now 17 year old son. Funny thing is that if I had become an artist right out of school I might not have had the confidence to succeed the way I did 10 years later after being successful in the business world and as a mother. I cannot decide for you…just share my experience.
