I just called UPenn to see whether it was too late to add on an award I won recently. They told me I could fax it over, but there was no guarantee it would be a factor into the admission’s decision as there is a possibility the decision has been made already…

Or maybe i misinterpreted that… but i am not surprised since this is the time they start making those decisions

i dont get why people wait to be rejected from their ED school before starting their other applications. you're really setting yourself up for a catastrophe!

Well. Sometimes it's not really a choice. A lot of people realize things they SHOULD do, but are too demotivated for whatever reason. That's why there's such a thing as procrastination. It's not like people WANT to make their lives as difficult as possible-- but it's hard to consistently live your life always by the code of what you should be doing as opposed to what you can handle/want to be doing. Something called the human condition homez.

I've done everything on all of my other applications except for essays and short answers...so basically, I've done all the easy stuff. Yes, I too do not want to start my other applications. I finished my Penn application in two weeks, and I looked over essay questions and realized that for all of the other schools on my list, I can use one essay. Therefore, I should be able to finish those in two weeks also, and submit before the Jan 1 deadline if necessary.

I was just on the columbia board...so emotional...that will be us this time next week!

didn't inspire much confidence in me...it seemed like so many people got rejected/deferred and the only ones who got in had like 2390 SAT's
meh...

lol one person on there had a 2390 and was ranked almost at the top of his/her class, and he/she said that they expected to be rejected...Columbia people are crazy
