Lol

Guess what i managed to do. i put the wrong amount of postage when i sent my financial aid and essays form in, you think theyll receive it?

did u put more or less lol I always put 1 more :)

i kind of put a couple dollars less. ( i didnt know it was 3 bucks for a pacakge then)

I would think they would end up sending it back to you, right?

Well as long as cornell receives it and then send it back i am good. I didnt put my return address though ( i know i know i dont knw what i was thinking then. )

If you didn't have a return address and correct postage, I would seriously just send them all again with a cover letter saying you have serious doubt as to whether they got there the first time. Good luck!

thanks, but i think i am goign to wait for a week more. Ill probably mail the admission coordinator in western US for cornell abt it.

You sent a package? For just an essay?

Man, it only costs $.60 to send a regular brown envelope. If you did it priority mail, in which case you have to go to the post office and pay, then there's no way you could've gotten the amount wrong.

sucks man. i've known cornell to send someone their busar (through mail) because they owed 12 cents! (that's less than the cost of postage to send it to them in the first place!) so, i doubt they'll pay for it. maybe if you called and see if you'd be willing to reimburse or something...i know when we get postage due letters, we usually do pay it and then charge the student that amount before they can get their letter, but this is to an office, not student. good luck though. that really sucks

You should just resend it through the overnight or the 2-3 day mail

ok i sent it along with the tax returns , financial aid forms and otr stuff hence the package. The system of mail here is you leave it in your mailbox, the postman/woman picks it up and tkae it to the PO where it is then sent to the adress. I used this until i realized my mistake when i took another package to the UPS sotre( was close to deadline hence wanted to send through priority mail.)

I seriously dont mind paying for the remaining postage :) I am sending them another mail anyway i plan to put the remaining mnoey in that.

bumpybumpy
