Hello friends!
I am an IB student and my predicted grade is 37 with 2 points for TOK and EE. The break up is as follows
Economics HL: 7
Business HL: 6
English A: Lang and Lit HL: 5
Hindi B SL: 6
Environmental systems and societies SL: 6
Maths SL: 5
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
LSE requires a minimum prediction of 38, with 7,6,6 at HL in subjects relevant to the course that you are applying for. You don’t say what subject you are applying to study, but if you are applying to study economics you have to have a 7 in HL Maths.
@collegemom3717 I am applying for economics with history
Then a 7 in HL Maths is required.
Your 5 Math SL is going to pretty much keep your from any course at LSE, I’m afraid.
Warwick is quite strong and doesn’t require the same commitment to high level math as LSE does.
Durham would be a possible second pick.
@MYOS1634 I understand. Thank you for helping. My other choices are:
University of Warwick, University of Edinburgh, University of Leeds and Kings college London. What are your views about them? and whether I can get into them? Do you think that I should change any of them?
Well, first you need to look at the cutoffs (entry requirements).
For instance, you’ll see Warwick Economics wants 38 pts on IBD and a 6 in Maths HL.
ONLY select “courses” were you meet the basic cutoffs. Include at least 2 where you are well above the cutoffs since most admits have better scores.
@MYOS1634 Thank you for helping.
