Long term-chance at U. of FL?

Hi everyone!

I’m wondering if y’all think it’s possible for me to be a Gator! I’m a junior but already a little nervous because some of my friends have siblings who have had trouble getting accepted.

I have a 3.97 GPA unweighted and approx. 4.5 weighted. I have taken three APs: World History, Human Geography, and APES. I passed APHG and APWH with a four and APES with a five.

My schedule this year is:
AP Calculus AB
AP Spanish Language
AP Chemistry
AP Lang
AP Capstone
APUSH

I’m the vice president of the Spanish National Honor society at my school. I’m a member of Science NHS and Mu Alpha Theta and I am applying to NHS very soon.

I’m also in Chemistry Club and Interact, and was chosen to be in our ‘scholars’ club which is a club for high achieving students.

I’ve done 104 hours of volunteering in the inpatient pharmacy of a local hospital and 25 hours at my old middle school. I plan on continuing with both.

I’m ranked nine out of 460 students in one of the highest achieving schools in Pinellas County, FL.

I have not taken the SAT/ACT yet. I’m taking the SAT in January and possibly the ACT in September. I did do very well on the PSAT in freshman and sophomore years, scoring in the 96-98th percentile.

So, what do you think my chance at UF is? I’m most nervous about my ECs–I don’t have any sports and I only have one leadership position.

You’re a match for UF. Just keep up your GPA and EC’s and take those test early, in case you want to take them again. Remember that UF will superscore the SAT but not the ACT.
