At my school, we don't use the 2400 scale, both in the class and the guidance office. When will the Writing portion start to be considered both in colleges and in schools? If someone asks for your SAT score, what do you say? I like to say 2040, but I immediately get asked for the 1600 scale, so I say 1320.

Cover all your bases: give both scores!

this question has been asked, look it up.

At my school, only the smart kids take the SAT, all the rest take the ACT, get 18s, and go to the local college. But seriously, when someone asks me how I did on the SAT, I say 2130. We've all forgotten the 1600 scale around here..

tell them it's now out of 2400 and has been for a few years (no matter how bad that essay is : /)

Get your school some 2008 copies of books.

^ and ^^, So very true.

one question, how do u know if it's 1320?
do u set up a ratio problem like:

2040/2400 = x/1600?

not really, you just add your math and cr scores

No, just subtract the writing.

Though now I'm somewhat done with the SAT. I got a 29 on the ACT(one question away from a 30 too!), so I just usually talk about that score because it's 95 percentile, and a 2100/2400 is also the 95 percentile.

no, you subtract your writing score from 2040, or whatever.

oh .. i see, that makes sense lol.

^hahahahahhah^

lol
