Oh and I'm on the Academic Decathlon team, 2 years regular competitor, 8th in state level

Forgot to add that I've had a job for the past two years, averaging about 15 hours a week.

This is rather disappointing

I'm not sure about most of them but I'd say Brown is a low reach.

thanks! that's good to hear, all I keep thinking about is being a Brown reject :(

Hate to say it, but Brown is much more than just a low reach. I applied ED, got deferred and my SATs were about 200 points higher than yours. It's more like a very high reach.

Brown is probably the only school i can speak on, and that does appear to be a reach. is Brown your first choice?

Brown is definitely not my first choice, but it's be considered not just have my application tossed aside. At the moment I'm stuck between Vassar and Bard

any others?

Vassar--Match to Slight Reach
Bard--Match
Brown--Reach
Eugene Lang College at the New School--Safe Match
Wesleyan--Reach
Emerson--Match

The problem is the SAT score, which is low for some for your schools. You'll get accepted at most of the schools, though.

Good luck.

Apply my friend...you have nothing to lose...my theory is....adcoms are people...if they like you, your in,if not then your out...that simple...im applying to Brown with a 1750...its arbitrary

Yea my parents were expecting me to apply to yale, we spoke to an admissions counselor and was like "don't bother applying with you SAT score we'll throw your application out" which is oh so nice a sentiment. I hate that all these schools that are all about getting to know their students will completely disregard an application due to a number, if they don't want me because of my SATs I don't want to be there.
