Thank you guys!

You do have a very solid CV, that said your SAT is going to hurt you at Brown and Yale (especially at a Yale) I think you have very good chances at the remaining schools. In regards to Brown and Yale, you will have to make a very compelling statement on why you belong at these schools. My youngest is at Yale, URM, and she had a SAT at bit under 2200 and she just made it through, being deferred once…best of luck to you.

Your SATs also wont help you at Bowdoin, Wesleyan, and Vassar, as all three are great schools and extremely difficult to get into like the ivies. I know some kids with scores in the 2200s with excellent grades and extracurricular activities who got denied from the three schools. But that said the whole college application process is a crap-shoot so you never know. Good luck!

That’s a terrific list and you have a good shot at all of them, even with your SATs. Your ECs are excellent. Where would you be happiest is the question. Did you get a chance to visit them all before you applied? Did you discover the Common Data Sets yet? Lots of details there to give you a snapshot of a school’s culture, like the degree of ethnic diversity on campus, percentage public vs. private school kids and other facts. Good luck!

Sorry, to say you have a good shot, while encouraging, is not reflective of what present numbers say on the potential for admission. See, http://oir.yale.edu/sites/default/files/Yale-College-By-the-Numbers.pdf. I think the young man is seeking information that is both candid and data driven.
