Looking at UK Schools

I’m interested in going to school in the UK/England, but I have no idea what to do. Could someone familiar with the process assist me?

Thanks!

UK applications use a common application, UCAS, which allows you to apply to five universities. Deadline is early January, unless you’re applying to Oxford or Cambridge, which need applications by 15 October.

What subject(s) are you interested in studying? In the UK you apply for just one subject (occasionally two, even less frequently three) and study nothing else during your degree.

What are your academic stats? Generally UK universities will want you to have taken AP tests, although some accept SAT II’s instead.

Can you afford to be full pay? There is virtually no FA for international students.

You may like to repost with these details and any other pertinent info (e.g. what interests you in going to the UK) in the UK sub-sub-forum of the International Students sub-forum.

Anybody know how difficult it is to get accepted into the archeology undergraduate program at University College London? Able to afford full pay. Thanks.

What are your stats? (Maybe best to start your own thread rather than jumping in on PlacidPlatypus’s.)
