Looking for a good school... near beach, clubs etc.

<p>Ill be going to school in Socal in about a year, Ive been in the military and want to go back, but ill only be 22, I just need to decide which one.
The quality of the school does not matter much to me, I want to major in either
-Psychology
-Real Estate
-Fashion</p>

<p>What matters the most to me is proximity to the beach, the school doesnt need to be close, but it needs to be close enough to where I can live on the beach and have like no longer than a 20 minute drive to school.</p>

<p>Another thing that matters is how far all the clubs are. House parties are alright, but clubs are where its at.</p>

<p>I was thinking maybe like UCSB, or living up in pismo beach (where I can just hop on my bike and be in the dunes :) ) and going to like san luis obispo or santa maria to go to school.</p>

<p>I saw a post about UC Irvine, that made me want to go there really bad, but the only problem with that is that ocotillo wells or the high desert is kinda far, same with mountains.</p>

<p>O and I am not at all worried about how hard it is to get in, I have my associates in general studies with a 4.0 and will decide whether or not I want to take the SAT or ACT when I figure out at least the places I want to go. </p>

<p>Sorry I know it is kinda alot to ask but basically im looking for a school that is no more than 20 minutes from the beach with clubs, like a downtown or something, in between home and school, that is not too far from mountains to snowboard and deserts to ride dirtbikes.</p>

<p>Chapman and UCSD come to mind in addition to what you’ve listed.</p>

<p>I second UCSD. I know it has a good psych department.</p>

<p>If you’re willing to consider a CSU, Long Beach might work.</p>

<p>You mentioned Pismo Beach. Definitely try for Cal Poly SLO. By the way, SAT/ACT scores are not needed at UC/CSU’s for transfer students.</p>

<p>If you live on the beach, be prepared to shell out some bucks for housing.</p>
