Yes, the above post is an accurate info. It’s not a bad idea to not check the email and let the snail mail tell you. I think the admissions acceptance packet includes a car sticker also if I remember correctly. But your daughter should check the email sometime to see if she got deferred.
One more thing to consider is that should she be deferred, she will need to write a letter stating her continued interest. IMO that letter will carry increasingly less weight the longer she waits to open her portal to check her admissions outcome.
