I'm applying to Notre Dame as a high match/reach. I'm looking for a school that will be good for theatre and english, preferably one about Notre Dame sized, perhaps around 10,000 students. I don't plan on going much further west than Illinois (I'm from Indiana), or futher south than Tennessee, but anywhere on the east coast is fine. I don't know how much needs based aid I will qualify for but I want to find a school that, depending on how much I qualify for, will actually cover most of it. To attend IU or Valparaiso (my two safeties) I would be paying around 11,000 a year with the scholarships provided.. for IU that includes room and board and for Valpo I could live at home. That said, I don't think my family would support my decision to attend a school like Notre Dame or whatever I choose for my second match/reach unless I was getting some financial help. I'm not looking for a school that will be easy for me to get into, but I didn't want to say "reach" school because I want to fit their average GPA/SAT/etc fairly well.

Basic stats: 3.9/4.0 GPA unweighted, 9/413 class rank, 2030 SAT (730 verbal, 700 writing, 600 math, new scores tomorrow though)

Any ideas? Only schools that will accept the SAT alone (no subject tests)
