Looking for a Monologue Coach

I am looking for a monologue coach for my D to prepare for pre-college and eventually college auditions. Can anyone recommend a coach in the Buffalo, NY area? Any tips for finding a reputable coach?

You might want to contact The Studio Areana Theatre or the Irish Classical Theatre Company. Both theatre's have very good reputations. the Studio Arena has classes, and some of those teachers may also coach privately.

Good luck!

Does anyone know of a good coach for BFA preparation, vocal and monologue in long island, new york? I've heard of a few in the city but would love to find one more local.

Have you tried calling your local colleges/universities? Try Hofstra U. It's a start. Good luck!

yeah, I would suggest calling various colleges and theatre companies and asking if they have teachers that give private lessons.

chelle --- i would suggest talking to SUNY Buffalo and SUNY Fredonia to ask about their acting faculty. Some of them may be willing to help out, especially over winter break as they won't have as many classes, etc. in some cases.
