I will attend GT this Fall as a Chem Engineering major. I am looking for a roommate (girl). I am not interested in partying, am quiet. Would like to room with somebody helpful, academic oriented, and interested in volunteering at GT.

Just asking, but is there a specific dorm that you are looking to stay at?

Somebody recommended Harrison on East Campus. Seems like it has been remodeled recently. Besides, Britain Hall. the dining place is close to Harrison. This info is all through College confidential. What do you think??

Honestly, I think Harrison is the best dorm for females. Close to Britain, close to laundry, close to stadium. Okay distance for classes. So, you cannot go wrong!

Are you starting in Fall too?

You’ll get more responses from the GT accepted students facebook group.

@ nerdwantgum, yes I’m starting in the fall. And banjohitter is right

Hey,

I applied for transfer to Ga Tech in the Fall 2011. I well exceed requirements, but will find out for certain around June after my Spring 2011 transcripts are received.

I am a female, 19 years old, pursuing a degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering. I am in need of a roommate to split a 2 bedroom with.

What kind of price range were you looking for?

Freshmen can choose their roommates?

Yes. If they indicate each other on their housing applications, Housing will do what they can to keep those students together.

If you live in campus housing, you won’t need to split the cost. It’s the same price if there are 1 or 2 people in the room.

If you have an off-campus apartment, it would help people to give the location and/or price. Off-campus places are usually a bigger risk than on-campus (off campus you are both liable for rent and damage, on campus you only liable for your rent and your damage) so I don’t recommend living with someone you don’t know. There are plenty of 1-room apartments, or better yet, live on campus.
