Looking for a strong computer science college

I'm a junior in HS right now, but I've started thinking about college a lot and decided to come here. Because I'm not in my senior year yet, a lot of these stats are either projected or estimated, but I think they're all fairly consistent with how I'll graduate.

GPA: ~3.7 unweighted

APs:
11th - AP computer science (most likely a 5 on the AP)
12th - AP stat (?)
12th - maybe AP spanish(?)
12th - AP Physics

Honors:
9th - Biology A (A) , Honors Geometry (B), Orchestra (dropped because no space in schedule)
10th - Chemistry A, Honors Algebra 2/Trig 10th (B+)
(projected grades) 11th - Physics A (A) , Honors Precalc(B+)
(projected class) 12th - Honors Calculus(?)

Authentic Science Research - 3 Year course (10-12) where you pick a field of interest, become an expert on that field, develop a research project with a mentor and apply to competitions (most notably Intel Science Talent Search). My research is cool and involves programming, but without results I'm unsure of a semi-finalist placing.

EC:
Co-run a Tech Club at my school. In the club, I teach C++ programming and use graphics libraries and game design to keep kids from losing interest in the academic nature of C++.

I started working at a grocery store this summer. Within a month I was promoted to a management level position. I work ~25 hours a week(will be cut down to 20 during the track seasons)

Spring Track: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th
Winter Track: 10th, 11th, 12th
I'm a pole vaulter and plan to reach at least 12' before graduation.

Summer:
Working as I described above.

Audited two NYU programming courses, will likely do again this year (or similar program)
No SAT scores yet but looking to score at least 2000

In terms of colleges, the most important thing for me is academics. I'm really interested in computer science and spend a lot of time programming on my own. I especially want to go to a school where there is a CS culture, where people talk about programming and where there will be opportunities to find projects to work on.

If I was forced to pick a profile, I'd say a moderate-big school is preferable and a warm-ish climate would be nice.

This is my first post so please feel free to let me know if I'm missing information or general posting etiquette. Thanks in advance!

Cost constraints? State of residency?

tuition isn’t an issue, reside in NY but would definitely consider west coast options as well

You parents have assured you that they can contribute up to about $60,000 per year for your college?

Stony Brook is a fine school for CS at in-state price.

Yes they have, but stony brook looks very nice. The one thing off putting is the campus. Any other suggestions?

Carnegie Mellon University is ranked #1 computer science university according to USNews.

Some other great, but extremely rigorous, options include:
MIT
California Institute of Technology
Stanford University
University of California-Berkeley
University of California - Los Angeles
Rice University
Cornell University

Other, more tangible options, include:
George Institute of Technology
University of Maryland, College Park
University of Wisconsin - Madison
University of Washington
University of Massachusetts - Amherst
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor

^^All offer excellent programs in computer science
