Looking for a transfer

I am an international student from Nepal currently studying in an Australian university. I a doing my bachelor first year equivalent ( Diploma leading to Bachelors, 3 years course) and am looking to transfer to a US based university. I'm new so don't know if it's possible. I would be really glad if someone could explain if there are any procedures to do so.

Which college do you want to transfer to? The procedure depends upon the college that you wanna apply to. Similarly, I m not quite sure if they’ll accept credits from a 3 yr college. In that case, if you really want to study in the US then you can apply as a freshman.
However, contacting the college officials is the best way to get the info you need!

You cannot apply as a freshman student in the US if you have already attended a university. If you aren’t truthful in your application, they eventually find out and reject you along with communicating with other universities that you do not have integrity.

What I mean is if getting a US degree is all that he/she is wanting, he/she can complete his/her Bachelor’s degree in Australia and again do his/her Bachelor’s in the US (to pursue Master’s degree in the US, you need to have studied for 4 years in the Bachelor’s level)

photon: the Australian BA lasts 3 years, not 4. Many US universities do not admit 2nd bachelor degree applicants and most will require 2 years of undergraduate study (which must be entirely self funded) to confer a degree.
You could transfer at any point but you won’t get financial aid (except in the rarest of cases, mostly for students from another US university) as there is no financial aid for international transfers. Apparently there are some minor merit scholarship possibilities for transfer students who apply early (well before March) to UAlabama, as long as their test scores and grades are excellent, and they can pay most of the costs. If you need significant financial aid, you’re out of luck.
