Hello Everyone!

In the interest of time I will keep this as concise as possible. Also, Looking for advice from recent grads and parents who understand the hiring process of a company.

My resume (short version).

School: University of Akron
Degree: Dual Degree in Corporate Finance and Accounting
GPA: 3.37 (3.5 in each major)
Activities: Officer in Delta Sigma Pi and Enactus (formerly Students in Free enterprise)
Honors: Deans list every semester, recently won a scholarship from my school of business
Employment: Working full time (40-50 Hours a week) for PepsiCo as a Merchandiser
Expected Graduation date: Spring-Summer 2015

My question:

Do i go for an internship now or wait until the spring? There are several boutique that are looking for interns this semester (as in the fall 2013) that I more than qualify for. This could give me the experience to go after bigger and better ones (smuckers, Goodyear, Deloitte, Etc). I'm afraid that if I leave PepsiCo now I will risk unemployment after the internship is finished, especially with the current dismal state of the economy. However, If I don't go for it, there really is no gauruntee that I can get a job in PepsiCo for finance or accounting. Currently I have a mediocre job, I get a wage better than most, I have better health insurance than anyone I know, and they are providing tuition reimbursement (its all in an IRA collecting interest, if I quit, I will have to pay it back, but it will be tax free, I think...)

What should I do? Wait for it? Go For it now? Wait until the spring semester?

thank you for your time and any advice,

Michael Guban
