Looking for Advice

I'm a 15-year-old student in Hong Kong. I still havequite some time before I've to prepare for college applications but still I wanna work hard in these few years so that there'd be a greater probability that I'd get into harvard (or any other ivy leagues)

I'm currently
an officer of House of Debate
a member of Mandarin Club
A reporter of my schools' magazine
A boy scout (has gained Chief's Scout Award, Leadership Award, Service Award etc)
A monitress/prefect
An enthusiastic painter (mainly concentrates on oil-painting, will consider having exhibition)
A passionate writer (with some essays published in newspaper and am running for posts in local newspapers, may consider publishing books)

Next year, I'm running for
My school's magazine's editor-in-chief
Hong Kong Union for Young Leaders member or Unicef Young Ambassadors.
Chairlady of one of my school's club
Taking percussions grade exams
Participating in prestigious painting competition

There isn't much competiitons held in HK and internships and job opportunities are low. I'm still trying to find some but anywayz, please give me some advice.

I'm pretty amazed by a lot of you guyz' transcripts!

oooooo i dreaded my primary schools prefects. so snobby... and upper-mid classed.

haha just my digression

you are 15???? holy crap man come back in like 2 years unless ur already applying

basically enjoy being in secondary school and pursue what ur interested in. don't thinka bout college too much. it isn't good for your health. :)

Well you're on your way, but if your primary goal of getting into Harvard is just so you can go to Harvard, than you'll never get in.

It's okay to be thinking about harvard at 15. some people need a tangible goal to work towards, something more defined than just "getting good grades". My advice is to essentially push yourself to the extremes in the next few years and make sure that you're among the most exemplary students in your grade. Your obviously new to this site, so I would recommend looking through the various forums to get a sense of your competition. When decisions come out in november for early action and in april for regular decision, look at the stats of the kids who got accepted/rejected/deferred, just don't let it get you down, because admissions are incredibly unpredictable. best of luck!

remember the golden rule: dont do things for college, do it cuz you want to and can develop a passion for it. if you do it for college, that's just bad form.

but other than that, you're A-OK! ... ... ... sorry.
