Looking for Canadian Env. Sci. Grad Programs

So this may get kinda all over the place but here it goes.

I’m in my last year at FIU (Miami) as an environmental studies major, bio minor. I’m doing some research there involving coastal everglades restoration. Now I’m looking to apply to universities in Canada. I spent a year living there (Quebec) and loved it. Now I’m looking into the west coast but really anywhere is fine with me.

Now I already used the search on this website but I didn’t find what I was looking for.

So my questions is, can anyone suggest schools in Canada that has:

  1. A good environmental studies program
  2. Is not for profit
  3. Is relatively cheap
  4. Is small
  5. and most importantly not an all out research university? I’m looking to get a Master’s degree so I can get to work as I’m not interested in research as a profession.

I’m not looking for the best universities at all, just some place that is mellow and someplace where I can get a good education and a good job.

Near the ocean is a plus I guess lol. Also cheap housing in the surrounding area is pretty important!! I gotta take my two dogs with me so no college housing option!

I gotta be realistic as I don’t have a great GPA I’m gonna graduate with pretty much a straight 3.0 (maybe a bit higher if I’m lucky) and about two years research experience with my current lab which will include 1 published paper and 1 poster presentation.

So thats it! I might have more questions later but thats all I can think of for now! THANKS A BUNCH :-h
