Looking for Christian Fellowships at UCSB?

If you are a Christian that is considering coming here to UCSB but wants to know about the Christian groups, well im here to help =)
im a 1st year student at UCSB.
Im not trying to promote groups or anything, im just saying that UCSB also has great Christian groups where people can get involved =)

There are many Organizations in UCSB that help students get involved.
Let me list a few
Intervarsity Christian Fellowship- Its a Christian Fellowship where it promotes the diversity and culture of the students. I am part of this group.

Real Life- Its the same as Invervarsity but its Huge. Its the biggest Christian group in UCSB

AACF- Asian American Christian Fellowship

Theses are the main ones and theres a lot that you can look up.
If you have any questions feel free to post here and i will help you.

is there a chapel or anything of that sort on or near campus?

How can we get involved because it is something that I am very interested in

What kind of involvement are you looking for?

If you are looking for a fellowship, most of the fellowships will be around tabling on campus by the University Center (I recall seeing InterVarsity, Real Life (Campus Crusade), RUF, AACF, and KCM during the first week), and will be holding events for you to have fun and get to know people in the fellowship. Then you can just pick which one you’re most comfortable with.

In general, besides the special events, fellowships have a large group meeting where they meet up as a whole, and also other small group meetings; these take place on various weekday nights.

If you are looking for service, whether serving your brothers and sisters in Christ or the Isla Vista community, those opportunities will come naturally as the fellowship you attend make announcements (or when you ask their core team).

There are various churches scattered around Isla Vista; truth be told, I haven’t been to any of the local ones. Most of the fellowships (as far as I’m aware) don’t belong to a specific church, but would be happy to provide rides to Sunday services at churches that are a little further.

are people ever stigmatized for being a christian at ucsb?
