Looking for academically strong colleges with smart, interesting, and diverse student bodies. Looking for schools ideally with 4,000-10,000 undergraduates and connection to campus. Interested in studying social sciences of some sort (econ, political science, etc.) but undecided and would like to be able to take classes across departments. Like the idea of smaller classes, knowing my professors and undergraduate research opportunities, but want to avoid very small schools especially ones that are very isolated. Currently neutral on Greek life. Not opposed to rural schools but don’t want very urban ones in the middle of downtown of large cities. Would like to avoid places with very hot weather. Financial aid not a concern.
Strong student, 4.0 uw gpa with many ap and honors courses, 1480 sat, and good ECs and essays, etc.
Some of the schools I’m interested in applying to: Dartmouth, Tufts, Northwestern, UVA, UCs (in state), William and Mary, Lewis and Clark, Boston College, University of Rochester
Are there any other schools that fit with these or the parameters above that I should look at? Just looking for some more names as I start to decide where to apply.
