My student is a sophmore this year. It seems everyone is onto some course or tutoring service to get ready for PSAT’s and SAT’s. Any advice on which way to go? Testmasters? Princeton Review? Avantage? Class vs tutorial? Kahn Academy?
Buy them a book, sit them down in front of it, and make them do practice tests & review the questions they missed.
Once they miss a question twice on two practice tests, they’ll never miss that kind of question again.
It’s kind of like trial by fire; the more you miss, the less you want to miss it. If they actually review what they did wrong, they’ll do better.
Those courses don’t give you anything studying by yourself gets you.
