<p>My daughter plays saxophone and clarinet. She is a senior now, college freshman next year. What schools are known for having great jazz performance programs on the WEST COAST?

<p>Off the top of my head, I would say USC's music school, UCLA, Stanford, Cal State Northridge (some prominent L.A. area musicians are alumni), and one of the best known performance programs in the West, though not West Coast is the program at University of North Texas. I'm sure there are some others I'm not remembering. Try that music major forum.</p>
