I am currently a sophomore female asian living in new england. Heres what I have:
GPA: 3.8/3.9
Classes: All honors, highest possible
SAT: not yet, but SAT 2 Bio I got 780 (going to take again this weekend)
EC:
outside of school orchestra 8+years
violin in school orchestra
VP of environmental action committee
just made another club where students from the school meet to perform for homeless or elderly
varisty squash
thinking of doing an independent project during spring at a lab
com serve: went to new orleans to build houses for katrina, also worked at a farm for a week
Summer: worked at a functional neuroimaging lab at harvard for 2 months
I want to be something related to life sciences, probably biotech or something
ANY SUGGESTIONS???
Chill down! You’re obviously a very smart girl, but why would you retake a 780?? That’s a great score!
Btw what is varsity squash??
I think you’re on the right track to success. I’m not familiar with life scienes, but my older friend studies ecology at Stanford right now. Hope this helped!

Yeah definitely chill out. Don’t retake that Bio test, a 780 and 800 are of negligible difference and retaking it could actually hurt your application if a school requires all scores, because it shows you value numbers more than experiences. Sign up for a different test or just get a refund altogether (if possible).
As for your admissions, nobody can give you an accurate chance this early in the game. You’re a sophomore. Work hard, get leadership positions, write killer essays, score highly on your SAT, and get straight or near-straight A’s. Then come back.
I agree to above posts! In retaking that, you have more chance of getting less!
