Looking to transfer to Emory after community college?

I am a sophomore at a 2 year community college at a 4 year university. I am looking to transfer to Emory University, but I have currently 39 credits out of 60. I know on the website that it considers transfer students that are in their first year (minimum of 28 credits) in order to be accepted. Is there another way that it could accept transfer students or am I too late to transfer to Emory University?

I transferred to Emory. I think they want a MINIMUM of 28 transfer credits to be considered competitive. So if you’re a Sophomore now, then you’ll be a Junior when you transfer in. I met a couple of Juniors at orientation. I think you’ll be fine.

I graduated high school at the age of 15.I started the 2 year community college at age 16. At that time, I didn’t take the SAT. Instead I took the Accuplacer test. I am currently 18. Do you think I have to take the SAT/ACT in order to qualify or does it only require for people with the minimum credit hours?

@university18 It might be too late to take the SAT or ACT for Fall transfer, but I’d recommend it if you can. Even if you have a 4.0, schools like Emory want to see some standardized sign that you’re near the level of their current students. With that being said, the scores aren’t a requirement because you’ve already completed two semesters, and it is certainly possible to get in without them. Your application will heavily rely on essays and EC’s if you don’t submit scores, though. Of course, this is all assuming that your grades are exceptional. Also, I’d only submit scores if they’re pretty good.
