Ok, I'm at University of Pittsburgh right now. I kind of messed up in high school. I took the most rigorous course-load available and ended with like a 3.45 u.w gpa and didnt study as much as I should have and got a 28 on my ACTs. 790 Math lvl2, 690 Bio E for SAT2s

HS classes: All honors/AP, AP Calc AB and BC, AP Bio, AP Econ, AP Human Geo, AP Phys Mech, AP USH, Linear Algebra.

I was just wondering, if I wanted to transfer to UMich, do they focus more on my Freshman college grades or my high school stats? I will aim for a very high gpa as a bio major.

what would I have to achieve to make it into UMich College of Arts and Sciences?

the deeper your college record the better. i am trying to transfer for this upcoming semester as a poli sci major bio minor - i did even worse then you in high school - 3.0 but i took the most rigorous classes as well - i was just too focused on sports to apply myself. i think as long as you dont mess up this year 3.6+ gpa - you will do fine and stand a good shot of getting in, just show an interest in the community. show your well roundedness and you should be okay.

i think you'll be fine, if you are a freshman, you can apply this year and be at Michigan for your sophomore year. Your high school GPA/ACT aren't terrible enough to keep you out, but you'll need to do very well in your freshman year. Shoot for a 4.0, and you should be very competitive with a 3.6+ from Pittsburgh. You'll also need a compelling reason to transfer. I would think about that for a while.
