...for a job at a local hospital. Does anyone know how I would go about doing such a thing? Do I just call up a hospital and ask what jobs they have available for the summer? I wasn't sure what to do so I figured these forums were as good a place as any to find an answer. If anybody has experience doing this sort of thing and would be willing to tell me how it works, it would be greatly appreciated! (Wow, major run-on.) Thanks!

Kaiser internships...But I don't know if the deadline is over

best of luck

Around here the hospitals do not hire help for the summer. They only want permanent employees. You might get lucky, so ask around, but my daughter had experience and skills (she is a licensed EMT) and had absolutely no luck getting a job in a hospital. If you do get a job in a hospital for the summer it would probably be working in the laundry or the food service areas. My daughter also tried to get a job at nursing homes without any luck, but depending upon the demand for workers in your area, you might luck out. If you do want experience working in a hospital, consider volunteering...
