Loomis/Concord/Peddie

<p>I still haven't got any of my school decisions except for Hill which I checekd online
Anybody heard from these schools?
I know that few people in this board applied to Concord and Peddie at least..so.. did anyone get their decisions? if so, by what method? (UPS/FedEx/Regular)
the decision for Loomis came today by FedEx, but apparently no one was home, so they're trying again...ARGHHH
This whole decision thing seems to be taking much longer than I thought ;(
Well, I guess it's just too bad for the internationals..even Canada</p>

<p>I got my acceptence letter to Concord today, I think priority mail.</p>

<p>A Fed Ex decision sounds like a good sign from Loomis. It's a great school.</p>

<p>Yeah! I hope it is :)
Loomis and Concord are tied for the 1st choice for me. Both schools are tremendously amazing, but they have pros and cons regarding academics/ECs/etc.
I'm almost definitely sure that I will probably not make it to Peddie this year. Even adcom who did my interview said that less than 8 international applicants will be admitted in sophomore class. And there are like 30-50 extremely qualified internationals out there who are applying for sophomore.
I hope numbers in Loomis and Concord are somewhat different. But you never know.</p>

<p>I've never heard of Loomis sending rejections or waitlist decisions by FedEx...pm me if you have any questions regarding Loomis and we'll try to help.</p>

<p>"I hope numbers in Loomis and Concord are somewhat different"</p>

<p>Loomis and concord are both more selective than concord</p>

<p>I wanted to got to Peddie as a sophomore .I was rejected and it was my first choice.</p>

<p>I'm sorry antonuccia, I heard this year's pool was extremely selective ;(
I'm worried, too. Seriously don't think I'm going to get accepted.</p>

<p>And bearcats, you mean Loomis and concord are both more selective than Peddie? XD</p>

<p>Just got rejected from Loomis.
Wow, I'm very surprised with the thiness of this mail....argh
I guess I'll have to stay at my ""perfectly fine" public high school, since I really don't see any acceptance letters coming my way.
Concord and Peddie still haven't yet arrived, but I'm not likely to get in to any of these schools.
Very depressed.</p>

<p>Sorry sangzog.</p>

<p>Sorry to hear the news, sangzog. (It's so hard for anyone to get into schools as a sophomore or junior especially if you have requested FA.) Maybe Concord or Peddie will come through for you.</p>

<p>I didn't request FA, but the fact that I'm international student/asian/mediocre stats/SSAT 83/no hook made the situation much more harsh for me.
They probably saw me as a typical asian applicant.
I'm fine, except that my expectations were way to extreme, so this is a little hard for me.</p>

<p>Reject from both Concord and Peddie
International/asian/4.0 GPA/ 90% SSAT/ 10th grade applicant.</p>

<p>I do not know why.</p>

<p>I'm an international asian....11th grade applicant w/SSAT less than 75....all of the schools ive heard of with the exception of milton and hill were all rejects...your not the only one...</p>

<p>aww. :( Well, don't assume things until you actually receive the letter & know for sure?
I got rejected/waitlisted at a lot of schools as well.. international, grade 11, 99% SSATs. hehh. Things are tough I guess! What grade did you apply for?</p>

<p>Wow, I wasn't alone XD :)
I applied as grade 10 "refreshing" to be grade 10 again.
Waitlist from Concord today, which is just like Reject, but in better words.
I've decided to take this whole thing as a good teen experience. I wouldn't have learned the fact that there are countless people who are extraordinary if I hadn't applied at all.
But having to take the most number of courses in our school's history with 2 self-studying AP courses next year would be fun too. I have to admit.
I can't wait until grade 12, so I can bring a sleeping bag to school and sleep all day in our cafeteria, since I only have 2 courses to take grade 12 XD
It should be fun.</p>

<p>Got accepted by Loomis. FedEx
I never believed my mum when she told me I'm an extraordinarily lucky girl until the day before yesterday</p>

<p>Congratulations, Shmily!</p>
