Lopsided SAT score?

How do selective colleges view a lopsided SAT score? For example, if critical reading and writing were both in the 700s with math was in the mid 600s? My score is like this, and I’m not a “math person.” I plan on studying the humanities. If I emphasize this in my application, do I still have a chance at some good schools?

I wouldn’t worry about it. Schools will understand that you are not a math guy due to your major. Students studying the sciences are expected to do well on the math section because they’ll be using a lot of math throughout college. The fact that you did well on the other sections shows where your strengths lie and for a student of humanities, math does not necessarily need to be your strongpoint.

Many colleges only look at math and reading scores. if you are really worried about your sat score, you can take it again
