Lopsided scores

Hey everyone,
So I'm a little worried about my act score, because it's all pretty good except for one awful section. The breakdown was:

Composite: 34
English: 34
Math: 36
Reading: 36
Science: 29 (!)
Essay: 12

I'm really worried that colleges will look down on that science score, especially since I plan on majoring in chemistry. Should I submit my sat instead? My sat was:

Total: 2290
Cr: 740
Math: 750 (I make stupid mistakes)
Writing: 800

But with that score, I've heard that colleges don't really pay attention to writing.
Which scores should I submit to colleges? Will they hold my act science against me?

Any help is appreciated.

Ugh your SAT score is fine even without writing and even if you HAD to send your ACT the science section is the least important and it would not detract from your app.

The science section isnt very important because it doesnt represent real scienctific knowledge. It doesnt matter which one you send.

Do I smell a ■■■■■?

Are y’all sure that top tier colleges (especially Mit and caltech and such) don’t care about the science section?

I have an 800 in sat chemistry to redeem it if that matters (or even works like that?)

They won’t care… At all. Nice chem score. Send it if you want.

You should try to retake the ACT again, if possible. Because you’re planning on majoring in chemistry, you can’t have that low of a science score.

You could always take SAT2’s to offset your ACT science score, like bio/chem/physics. If you get 780+ on science SAT2’s, you should be okay.
