<p>One of my LOR writers is not very good at grammar. He's foreign. From his emails, I can tell there's a lot of grammar mistakes. </p>
<p>When people read recommendation letters, does seeing bad grammar in the letters affect the app?</p>
<p>Also, he was a visiting professor for a couple of years, but now he is at his home institution. I know committees like to contact the writers, but do they usually call/email?
His phone # would be an international phone #, I’m not sure if they would call.</p>
