Losing belly fat

So I've been working out for about 6 months and went from 240lb. to around 200lb. Overall I'm happy with the results, but now I'm sort of concerned about my lingering belly fat. It seems like there was a huge improvement within the first 3 months and it seems that I just plateued all of a sudden. How should I go about targeting the abs?

My current routine is just simply working out 3 times a day for an hour. Each day I run for about 25 minutes and do weight exercises for 45 minutes(most of them being chest and stomach exercises). Should I simply consider doing more stomach exercises? Any advice would be appreciated thanks!

Change the foods in your diet(of course keep them healthy still) and eat more often with small portions. This increases your metabolism and will make you burn more fat. Also, try switching your exercises up once in a while instead of falling into a routine(ex. swim instead of run one day). It shocks your body from being used to something and knowing it’s going to burn a set number of calories in a certain way.

clockwork is right. you should be changing your work out routine about every two months to shock your body which lets it work more.

you should also try lower back, butt, and leg exercises, especially squats. these exercises will aid in cutting belly fat as it tightens the area around the stomach.

There is no such thing as spot reducing. The only [natural] way to lose fat is to lose it form your whole body.

run a lot. eat high in protein and low in fat(e.g chicken and fish). You also have to do spot training in addition to all that. Do sit-ups, twisted situps( to train obliques), crunches, leg-ups. Do ab workouts with resistance(i.e weight).

Diet, diet, diet, diet, diet…diet is key and cardio is King…thats all you need to know when it comes to abs
