I have looked at various applications, and I like Stanford's the most by far. I like the essay questions too. It's a great application. Really gives us a chance to tell who we are.

What do you guys think? What's your favorite application so far?

Stanford's...I love the "letter to a potential roomate" one. Though I really also like U of Chicago's essay topic (though I'm not applying there) - they're always great.

I agree. I like Stanfords essays the best out of any, I think they are the most creative. Also it was the only one that I had the least trouble filling out. However my love for Stanford's application is mixed with my hate that they are an extra application to fill out.

personally, i found the favorites section quite weird.
i dont think it has a purpose other than just getting to know the applicnt. but applicants think that its some kind of a trick question and try to shape their answers to make them look better
basically its a section where you can b u l l s h i t completely

I don't know, for "my kind of activities" i didn't really like stanford app, see I have like stuff I design and build, and my own 3d art studio etc... I liked MITs app better : show us something you have created that is AWESOME!

i like it in the sense that i think it really shows what sort of person the applicant is. but i found the "letter to potential roommate" difficult to think of a topic for. i think i'd feel a lot more comfortable just talking to the person and looking for common ground than just writing about myself.
