Hi,
Similar to my UT Austin post, I know...I love Tulane and New Orleans. Tulane has a great program in what I want to study and I have the right scores to possibly get in. The only problem is I hear that Tulane has a huge party scene and that kids "drink 3 nights a week". Now, I am not sure if this is true because I don't go there, but I would love to know if socially you could be okay without rushing and/or being a part of the big party scene--or if that really exists as much as I hear it does.
Thank you!!

You’d be better off posting this on the Tulane thread.

I’m not sure - never been to Tulane. But I’d like to point out that most people there don’t join any Greek organization - only about a quarter of male students do; about 40% of female students do, but that’s still less than half.

I agree though, you’ll have to talk to someone who goes there or post on the Tulane board. Also keep in mind that everyone’s perspective on their own college/university is different and is very colored by the activities that they’ve done there - if you ask a Greek student whether life at X University revolves around Greek life, they may say yes if they aren’t very involved in anything else and/or just really really enjoy their Greek life. A non-Greek student or a student who’s involved in a lot of things may have a different answer.
